Nominations will open for the 2024 FWPA Board at the August GMM on August 24, 2023. Don’t miss your chance to volunteer for a wonderful organization – or to add, through nomination, someone you know would be a great addition to the Board. 

If you are interested in joining the 2024 Board of Directors of the Fort Worth Paralegal Association, then NOW is the time.

Nominations will be open from the floor at the August 24, 2023 General Membership Meeting, as well as the next GMM on September 28, 2023.  Any voting member wishing to run for office, without nomination from the floor, may submit to the board of directors a written statement of intent prior to the October general membership meeting, by noon on October 26, 2023.

We have Statements of Intent to run for a position on the 2024 Board of Directors. Also, we have Nomination Forms for your use in nominating someone to serve the FWPA as an officer. Please complete and get the form to me before Friday, September 22, 2023.

Qualified candidates are voting members in good standing who have not held the office for which they desire to run for the two consecutive preceding years.

The Five Positions on the Board for which nominations and/or Statements of Intent must be submitted are the following:

• President-Elect/Education - This is a 3-year commitment (President Elect in 2024, President in  2025, and Parliamentarian in 2026)
• First Vice-President/Programs
• Second Vice-President/Membership
• Secretary
• Treasurer

Remember, in addition to the five VOTING OFFICER Board member positions, there are also many chairperson positions available.  We usually have over 20 Board Members.  So, you may either talk to our President-Elect, fwpa-president-elect@fwpa.org, or let any other current board member know that you would like to serve on the Board in a non-officer capacity. A complete list of the Board of Directors is available on the Board of Directors page.   We will be happy to have you join us, and we will put you in touch with the current chairperson so you can ask questions to learn more about the position.  Please join us - you will enjoy the camaraderie with your fellow paralegal professionals!
